Why FFA?

What your player learns with us, how we train, and why it makes them a better player in futsal and on the outdoor field.

More TouchesNo lines, no waiting. Every player is on the ball, all session long.
Smarter PlayersWe teach the why behind every decision, so players read the game, not just react to it.
Better OutdoorsEverything we teach carries straight back to your player's club team.
Our Playing Style

How FFA Teams Play

The game has four moments. Formations change with age, level and opponent, but how we play in each moment never does.

1
With the ball

Attack with Purpose

We keep the ball for a reason: to create space and go at the opponent's goal, not just to pass it around.

2
Just lost the ball

React Fast

The moment we lose it, we work together to win it right back, or get organized and protect our goal.

3
Without the ball

Win It High

We press to win the ball close to their goal. If we can't, we steer the opponent toward the sideline, where we trap them.

4
Just won the ball

Go Forward

If the space is there, we attack straight away. If not, we keep the ball calmly while the team gets back into shape.

What Your Player Learns

The 10 Individual Skills We Build

Every FFA player works on these, in every session. They're the decisions and habits that separate good players from great ones.

⚡

With the Ball

Attacking
  • 1

    Get Open

Move to give a teammate a passing option: come short when they're under pressure, spread out when they have time.

  • 2

    Pass with Quality

The right speed, to the teammate's correct foot. Quick give-and-gos, and passes that cut through the defense.

  • 3

    Beat Your Player

Be brave and creative 1v1. Attack the defender's blind side.

  • 4

    Finish

Shoot early and on target, and always attack the far post for rebounds.

  • 5

    First Touch

Take the first touch with the sole, in the direction you want to go, with your body open to see the field.

🛡️

Without the Ball

Defending
  • 1

    Approach Smart

Close down at an angle that pushes the attacker onto their weaker foot and toward the sideline.

  • 2

    Track Runners

Stay between your player and the goal, and stay compact behind the ball as a team.

  • 3

    Intercept

Read the pass before it happens and step into the lane to steal it.

  • 4

    Read the Play

Talk to teammates, especially the player with the best view, and know when to step up or hold back.

  • 5

    Block & Win It

Low, intense futsal stance. Block the shot or pass, then win the ball cleanly.

What Carries Over to the Big Field

Futsal is a small field with fewer players, so every principle shows up again and again. These habits go straight back to your outdoor team.

Inside Every Session

What Every FFA Training Includes

Whatever the age group, every session follows the same standards. Here's what your player can expect.

📋

A Planned Session

Every session is designed ahead of time by our Director, with clear goals, and shared with all coaches before training.

⚽

Maximum Ball Time

No standing in lines. Fast rotations and quick team selection keep everyone playing.

🔥

Everything Competes

After a few practice reps, every exercise becomes a game with winners and losers. Players learn to compete every day.

🧤

Goalkeeper Work

Goalkeepers get specific training at the start of every session, and younger keepers can stay for extra work.

🔄

Many Coaches, One Method

Our Director leads the curriculum and rotates through every group, so players learn from several ILFFA coaches over the season.

⏱️

Fair Playing Time

Players learn by playing, so we rotate as evenly as possible. Only the final minutes of a close game are the exception.

How Our Coaches Teach

We don't just tell players what to do. We help them understand it, so they can make the right decision on their own in a game.

Ask QuestionsPlayers think it through and find the answer themselves.
Show ItA coach or player demonstrates so everyone can see it.
Specific FeedbackClear, honest feedback tied to the goal of the session.
Praise the Right HabitsGood decisions get recognized, so they become habits.
Freeze & LearnWe pause play at the key moment to see the picture together.
Back Into the GamePlayers apply it right away, in a real game situation.
